The Weekly Collective: Inherent Value vs. The Scarcity Trap: Closing the Loop on Your Worth - 2/27/2026

The Love-Money Tax: Why a deficit in your self-worth is siphoning abundance from your heart and your reality.

After years of providing energy services and navigating the frequency of collective healing, you start to pick up on patterns that you just cannot shake. For a long time, I kept this specific observation to myself, shared only in 1-1 energy/Reiki sessions, but lately, I’ve felt an urgent call to bring these findings to the light. There is an undeniable, energetic connection between the way we handle love and the way we handle money.

It usually starts during a one-hour reading. Someone books a session because they are struggling with a romantic relationship—perhaps a spouse, a partner, or a deep-seated heartache. We go deep, we peel back the layers of the heart, and then they ask, “How much time do we have left?” When I tell them we have twenty minutes, they don’t ask another question about their marriage. Instead, they immediately pivot to their business, their boss, or a financial opportunity.

The reverse happens just as often. Someone comes in stressed about work, but as we navigate the session, they eventually admit, “Actually, I think the real issue is with my partner.”

Whether we are talking about a lover, a parent, a bank account, or a career path, the matter is essentially the same. It is a matter of the heart. And what I’ve learned over time is that every matter of the heart eventually leads back to one word: Value.

The Trap: Your Internal Blueprint vs. External Abundance

Most of us have been taught to compartmentalize our lives. We have our “professional life” and our “personal life,” and we imagine they exist in separate silos. But the truth is, you are the common denominator in every room you walk into. If you are operating with a shaky sense of inherent value in your relationships, you are likely carrying that same blueprint into your finances.

In the world of value, the way you show up regarding your self-worth is the exact way you show up regarding your time. And time, as they say, is money. Are you being paid based on your value? Is your value in question to your company? These aren’t just career questions; they are self-worth questions.

This all starts at Ground Zero—your childhood. We learn the value of money at the same kitchen table where we learn the value of love. Think back to how you were raised. Was love readily available, or did it have conditions? Did you have to reach certain milestones or get specific grades just to feel seen or worthy of affection?

When attention and love are treated as things that can be snatched away the moment you aren’t producing results, you learn a dangerous lesson: Love is scarce. Value is inconsistent. Worth is a reward for a performance. This sets a blueprint for adulthood where you feel you must constantly “audition” for your place in the world. You’re waiting for a manager or a partner to look at you and finally say, “Can’t you see I’m valuable?” without realizing that you are the one holding the pen for that definition.

The Frequency of Venus: Love and Resources

Astrologically, we cannot talk about value without talking about Venus. Most people associate Venus strictly with romance, but she is the ruler of both love and material resources. Venus shows up in two distinct ways: through Taurus and Libra.

In your natal chart, Taurus rules the 2nd House. This is your foundation—it represents your self-worth, your physical resources, and your bank account. It is the early environment that taught you what it means to be “enough.” Libra, on the other hand, rules the 7th House, representing your partnerships, your marriage, and how you relate to others.

If your 2nd House foundation isn’t solidified—if you don’t feel inherently valuable on your own—your 7th House partnerships will always feel like they cost you a massive amount of effort. You end up trying to “prove” your worth to someone else to justify your place in the partnership. When you heal the frequency of Venus within yourself, you bridge the gap between how you value yourself and how the world reflects that value back to you through both love and money.

The “Cracked Cup” and the Scarcity Cycle

This lack of solidified worth creates what I call a “cracked cup.” When you have a crack in your cup, you never truly feel full, no matter how much abundance comes your way. You spend your life trying to find external sources to replenish what is leaking out. This shows up as “clutching” and “grasping” in relationships—walking a tightrope to please others because you’re terrified that if you stop, the love will stop too.

In your career, it shows up as over-giving and under-charging. You might find yourself doing the work of multiple employees with no additional pay or recognition, simply because you feel you have to prove your worthiness to be there. You aren’t actually experiencing your success; you’re just exhausted by the effort of maintaining it. You are essentially trying to fill a vessel that cannot hold what it receives because the foundation isn’t solid.

The Emotional Gym

When you start doing the work to heal and move into a new frequency, the universe will inevitably test you. You might think you’ve moved on from a specific pattern, but then a new person or a new job opportunity pops up that triggers those same old feelings of being undervalued. It’s easy to feel like you’re failing when this happens, but I want you to look at it differently.

You are in the “Emotional Gym.” Those triggers? Those are the weights. They are there to help you build the muscle of discernment. They are testing your intentional responses so that your healing can actually take root in your reality. It’s not about being “perfect”; it’s about seeing yourself clearly.

Imagine you are looking through a windshield after a long winter. It’s covered in “road salt” and “slush”—the gunk of past experiences that makes everything look blurry. You aren’t lacking value; you just can’t see it through the grime of old foundations. You have to do the work to keep washing that windshield, making the necessary adjustments to evolve rather than just retreating when the path gets heavy.

Proclaiming Your Inherent Worth

If you have spent your life fighting for your job, competing for love, or performing for attention, it’s time to stop. You were born valuable. You were born with worth. You don’t have to prove you deserve to be here. Why are you auditioning for your own life when you are already living it?

Don’t just read the following claims—feel them in your body. Wrap your arms around yourself, give yourself a deep-breath hug, and rock slowly as you proclaim this:

  • I am a sacred vessel of inherent value.

  • I release the blueprints of the past.

  • I am enough.

  • I forgive the versions of myself that felt I had to earn love.

  • My heart is open to the magnetic flow of abundance.

  • As I value myself, the world reflects that value back to me.

We are changing the direction of our bloodlines. We are making sure our children and grandchildren don’t have to struggle through the same inherited scarcity we did - love, money, or both. Acceptance of the past is the first step, but rebuilding a solid foundation—a cup without cracks that is allowed to overflow—is where the real you truly exists.

I encourage you to listen to the full session to experience the full reading. This blog post is just the tip of the iceberg and a mere introduction to the podcast episode. Let’s make this season of life a masterclass in inherent value.
