I recently found myself in a position where I had to check my own heart. I realized I’d become too jaded to pay attention to how a situation was affecting me—and how it was affecting someone else.
If you are here, you’ve likely been through a lot. I’ve been through a lot in all realms, and while I am grateful for those experiences because they shaped the woman I am today, they can also create a dangerous kind of armor. I’m always seeking self-awareness, always looking for my own “Awakening of Awakenings,” but I recently discovered a blind spot: I was jaded by disrespect.
The Trap of “I’ve Had Worse”
We often think of healing as a destination, but we rarely talk about what happens afterward. Recently, I was observing a situation involving mutual connections and realized I was ignoring red flags. My internal dialogue was: “I’m not surprised. I’ve experienced way worse than this.”
That is the trap.
Just because you have survived horrific things in the past does not mean that “lesser” bullshit is okay today. We become so overexposed to society’s cynicism and disrespect that we just go along with it because we’re “over it.” We tell ourselves that if someone is bringing us 12 gallons of BS instead of the 15 gallons we used to handle, then it’s a win.
It isn’t. We need a BS-free existence. We need to start at Ground Zero.
The Message in the Cards: A Mirror for Your Worth
During this collective session, the cards leaped out to act as a mirror for this exact struggle. They speak to the places where we are operating “below sea level”—in the red rather than the black.
From the internal struggle of not putting yourself first to the practical ways this “jaded” energy impacts your money and your material abundance, these messages provide a roadmap for the “What Now?” of your healing journey. If you’ve been feeling unfulfilled in your relationships or stagnant in your growth, there is a specific warning here about clearing your path so that the next person can’t find an easy way in to hurt you.
A Gift for Your Spirit: The Waterfall Meditation
Healing requires a reset of our sensitivity. To help you re-establish your baseline, I conclude this reading with a visualization.
